Promoting the sport of flat green bowls and providing opportunities for recreation and competition to all members of the local community.
In its 100 year existence Ixworth has had some notable successes. Before affiliating with the Suffolk County Bowls Association most games played were friendly, and the only individual competition was the Ixworth Tournament. As the game of bowls became more organised more competitions came into being, both club and county.. One of the latest additions to the county competitions is the Veterans Pairs which started in 2007. As part of our centenary celebrations Ixworth donated the trophy for this competition, and still sponsors it.
