Afternoon Roll-ups

Get some practice in and join one of the afternoon roll ups.  There is no need to book just turn up on the day for a 2.00pm start.  Tea and biscuits are served at the mid way point at a moderate price, which includes the rink fee.  Roll ups take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday afternoons.  During the winter months short-mat roll-ups are held on Monday and Thursday afternoons at 2.00pm.

Ixworth Bowls Club - Information
Brief Report from the Club AGM

Reports on the season were received from the Chairman, Captain, Treasurer and the Social Committee.
The following were elected to serve for the coming season:   Chairman - Mr. John Sharpe; Vice Chairman   - Mr. John Chambers;  Club Captain - Mr. Errol Feavearyear;  Ladies Captain - Mrs. Ann Lilley;  Club Secretary  - Ms. Sue Peckitt;  
Treasurer - Mr. Paul Cook;  Stowmarket League Captain - Mr. Mark Methven.  The new committee was also elected and in addition to the officers  already mentioned Jenny Glenaway; Brian Jenkins; George Knell and John Hemingway were elected to serve.  John who has just retired as Green Keeper agreeing to advise on green matters.

With a healthy financial position it was agreed not to increase the subscriptions and rink fees for the coming season.  Our Bar Steward for many years Mr. Doug Rogers stepped down from the position and was presented with two suitably engraved glasses and a bottle of whisky in recognition of  nearly forty years service to the club in a variety of  capacities.
